Peloponnesian War 

Greece’s history changed after Pericles’ imperialistic policies that shaped Classical Greece’s future. The war between Athens and Sparta, that we know its details today from Thucydides’ history books, the second Peloponnesian War, destroyed the 50 years of Athenian global dominance, in 30 years.

While walking in Athens, you can find remains of the Long Walls, explore Athens mountains- visit Fyli fortress in Parnitha mountain, explore Mounichia hill in Piraeus, Acropolis and the Pnyx hill where Athenians where gathering to make their war decisions, visit Keramikos, where Pericles made his famous Oration Speece, narrated by Thucidydes, and of course visit Athens National Archaeological museum and see the artifacts there.
