 Greek island experiences 

Greek islands are of many types, in a different access from Athens and Piraeus, with different environmental characteristics and of course different type of services. 

1. Aegean islands, meaning mostly Cyclades or Central Aegean islands, at the center of the Aegean Sea. These are accessed by Piraeus mostly. There are more ports at the East of Attica, Rafina, Porto Rafti and Lavrio. The most famous are Mykonos and Santorini. They dozens actually, located at the north, Sporades. 
2. Sporades. Accessed by Volos or Evoia island. These are not many, Skyros, Skiathos, Skopelos, Alonnisos. 
3. North East Aegean, most famous is Lesvos. 
4. South East Aegean or Dodecanese, Rhodes and Kos are the most well known. 
5. Ionian islands, Corfu, Zakynthos, Kefalonia, Ithaca. Accessed by Killini in Peloponnesus, except from Corfy, by Preveza. Lefkada island is connected by land and you can easily get there by your car.
