Evia or Euboea, is the second largest island of Greece, after that of Crete. 

Here are some travel suggestions for your trip planning in Evia, where you can travel Solo, or Group. According to a research Greece ranks at 7th position of hiking travelers. 

Also Greece has already become a hiking wonderland, with walks ranging from next to the beach strolls, to 800 kilometers thru hike mountain crossings. Evia is in the top list once again, with Andros island, Pindus mountain, Pelion and of course Menalon at Peloponnesus. 

Moreover there are 5 famous gorges in Evia you can explore: 

Dimosaris, accessible more preferably from April to October, Agali, Zarakes, Stropones and Manikia, which is next to a river. Here is some info about them. 

What else about majestic Evia? With a span of 170 km across, you will definitely need a total of 6 hours drive in order to get from the North tip of Evia to its South cape (Karystos). Original South Cape in Europe is located as well in Greece, but in Peloponnesus, not Crete as many could assume.
