Aigosthena Tower

An amazing place about one hour drive from Athens, at the entrance of Corinthian Gulf (not close to famous Corinth Canal).

You can go there by driving through Parnitha mountain but not to the north so as to reach Thiva, but west.

The archeological place is open, the restored tower is open every day except Tuesday from morning till 15.30.

You need about half an hour to go there and you can also go to the amazing nearby beach and have a swim and enjoy local food to the local restaurants- they are fantastic!

West Attica

Attica has amazing places to visit in the North (Parnitha, Tatoi and Penteli), at the East mount Immitus, (with Marathon, Ramnountas, Nea Makri, Rafina, Porto Rafti, Vravrona, Thorikos) South, (Sounio, Lavrio) and at the West is Elefsina, Aigosthena and Porto Germeno, but also famous Moni Dafniou.
